Gilman, View from the Cellar: "The 2009 Dauvissat Les Clos is every bit a match for the surreal Les Preuses. The flawless bouquet offers up scents of green apples, grapefruit, a touch of young Chablis’ green fruit tones, a brilliant base of flinty minerality, smoky notes, dried flowers and wet stones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and absolute rock solid at the core, with a very racy chassis of acidity, laser-like focus and a brilliant, snappy and nearly endless finish. Stunning juice."

Tanzer, International Wine Cellar: "Pale lemon-yellow.  Shy nose shows strong wet stone minerality lifted by a lavender topnote.  Wonderfully ripe but quite backward; in a massive and muscular style for Clos.  The powerful lemon, grapefruit and stone flavors saturate the palate on the very long back end, but this very closed wine will need a good seven or eight years to express itself.  Like the Forest and the Preuses, this wine clearly expresses its terroir in spite of the strong vintage signature."
