DESCRIPTION:
"The first of the four Grosses Gewachs bottlings in 2007 from Klaus-Peter is predictably stunning in a great vintage such as 2007. The bouquet is almost bottomless, as it offers up a sublime melange of grapefruit, tart apples, petrol, wild yeasts, smoky notes and a great base of very hard limestone soil tones. On the palate the wine is full bodied, racy and very transparent, with a tremendous core of fruit, crisp, beautifully integrated acids and stunning length and grip on the racy and very youthful finish. This will be brilliant with six or seven years of bottle age and should apogee around age fifteen. In 2007 the Kirchspiel came in around 12.8% alcohol, which should prove to be perfectly balanced for a long and eventful life." John Gilman, View from the Cellar

"Delicate aromas of apricot, toasted pine nuts and lemon oil. The wine's silky texture and filigree pineapple flavor are nicely framed by an understated acidity. A persistent spiciness lingers on the finish. A very seductive wine, and the most elegant of Keller's dry rieslings."-JP
