"(about 80% of this fruit is actually from Clos de Beze) Good deep red-ruby color. Superripe aromas of cherry, redcurrant and blueberry, complicated by herbs, spices and mocha. Shows an almost liqueur-like sappy sweetness and a lush, palate-saturating texture, but with a penetrating minerality contributing to an impression of great energy. Compellingly dense and not a bit hard. Finishes very long and sweet, with very broad tannins and an exhilarating peppery lift. This got more destemming than the average Dujac wine in 2006."-ST

"A spicy, ripe and very pure nose of iron-inflected cool red berry fruit aromas that merge into delicious, serious and detailed medium plus-bodied flavors that don't possess the raw concentration or structure of the very best in the range but it does have just as much length. This is a relatively refined Cham with lovely balance."-AM
